PorvairSciences.jpgAvailable from Porvair Sciences Ltd., the MaxiLute 48-well solid-phase extraction (SPE) sample preparation microplate system is designed to bring the benefits of microplate technology to drug development as well as to food and environmental laboratories that use SPE cartridges to process large-sample volumes. According to the company, the device is four times faster than traditional manual SPE cartridge methods, processing up to 200 ml of sample on one plate; it is compatible with automated liquid handling and robotic devices. The instrument offers a selection of packed bed volumes ranging from 250 to 1500 mg and an array of high-performance sorbents. To avoid contamination and to ensure 100% sample transfer, each well has an individual drain spout.
