Craic Technologies Inc. has released QDI ImageUV, an imaging system for its QDI 2010 microspectrophotometer. It allows users of the latter system to acquire images and spectra in the UV, visible and near-IR regions of micron-scale samples. The images and spectra can be acquired in transmittance, reflectance, polarization and fluorescence modes. Accompanying software allows the user to control a number of digital-imaging sources from a single software package and provides image-analysis routines for processing and enhancement. Applications include pharmaceutical research and contamination analysis.
