Ltd. has introduced AS8Y1100M30M and AS8C1150Z30M 0.8-μm high-power superluminescent light-emitting diodes (SLEDs), which can be integrated into optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems. The former comes in a single-mode fiber-coupled coaxial module and has 1-mW optical power, and the latter comes in a 5.6-mm-diameter CAN package and has 5-mW optical power. Both have a spectral half width of 17 nm and a built-in monitor photodiode.
