SpecialisedImaging.jpgSIM-D, a compact ultrafast framing camera system released by Specialised Imaging Ltd., uses high-resolution image intensifiers and a no-compromise optical design to provide high-quality ultrafast framing images. It features up to 16 intensified images and a hybrid beamsplitter to overcome parallax and improve resolution, and it is computer-controlled via a standard Ethernet link. An optical periscope for focal adjustment enables rapid setup and optimization. The camera is suitable for use in applications including automotive testing, biomedical and combustion research, failure dynamics, impact studies, nanotechnology and university research.
