FrankfurtLaser.jpgA line of high-power temperature-stabilized laser diode modules has been released by Frankfurt Laser Co. for use in harsh environments. The HEML series provides a crisp, uniform line with sharp ends and can be equipped with optics including Gaussian line and diffractive. Also available are standard multimode fibre outputs of 100 μm with a numerical aperture of 0.22. The modules provide stable power output of <1% at a wavelength of <0.5 nm over the 0 to 40 °C range. They are supplied with high-power laser diodes up to 3 W or with green diode-pumped solid-state lasers up to 200 mW. Applications include positioning, alignment, metrology, quality control and machine vision.
