The PL-B800 series microscopy CCD camera kits from PixeLink are offered with FireWire 1394a or USB 2.0 interfaces. They include the PixeLink Capture SE applications software, which has a menu similar to most Windows applications, and toolbars for annotation, imaging control, and image processing and measurement. Available in color or monochrome, they are DirectShow- and Image Pro Plus-compatible and operate on Windows XP and 2000. Offering 1392 × 1040- or 1600 × 1200-pixel resolution and rates of 10 or 15 fps at full resolution, depending on the model and other variables, they capture and save still images and audio-video-interleaved video clips.
