Digital delay pulse generator
BOZEMAN, Mont., July 7, 2009 – Quantum Composers Inc. has released an improved version of the Series 9500+ digital delay pulse generator that eliminates the need to combine several instruments to gate, trigger, delay and time multiple devices in a test system or experiment. It provides up to eight synchronized outputs.

It combines the precise timing properties of digital delay generators with the versatility of general purpose pulse generators. Traditional digital delay generators require that two channels be combined to provide complete timing control, while this model provides precise widths and delays out of each channel.

Quantum-Composers9500.jpgKey features include independent bursts, setting a specific wait time after the trigger, selectively gating channels, combining the timing patterns of several channels onto one and operating each channel in any mode.

The delay and pulse width for each channel are independent and digitally controlled, making the device suitable for use in situations that require synchronizing a number of different events. Flexible operating modes allow complete control of pulse outputs, including continuous, duty cycle, burst and single shot with external trigger/gate. The multiplexing feature allows timing of all or several channels to be combined for complex pulse patterns.

The system provides 1-ns timing resolution with widths and delays out to 1000 s. Setups can be stored within the instrument, enabling reuse of frequently applied testing configurations. USB, RS-232 and GPIB programming communications are standard, and Ethernet is available as an option.
