Semrock.jpgSemrock Inc. has released four Qdot single-band filter sets that are optimized for fluorescence applications based on Qdot nanocrystals by Molecular Probes (Invitrogen Detection Technologies). Providing “no burnout” performance, the QD525-A, QD605-A and QD655-A filter sets provide brilliant, dense multicolor detection with the commonly used Qdot 525, 605 and 655 nanocrystals, respectively. The emitters have high transmission, steep edges and a narrow bandwidth to match the respective Qdot emission with minimal crosstalk from neighboring Qdots. The fourth set, the QDLP-A, employs a special long-pass emission filter to allow simultaneous viewing of multilabeled samples, either by eye or with a color camera, taking advantage of the nanocrystals’ common blue excitation and narrow, specific visible emission spectral properties.
