The device features specially designed autofocus optics for increased throughput, fast scan times, a 12-bit CCD imaging system and a small footprint to free up lab space. It also has diffraction-limited imaging optics for fluorescence emission in the 570- to 610-nm-wavelength range, pixelation of 1.0 μm and a 1344 × 1024-μm field of view. The 16 × 29 × 26-in. device weighs 145 lb.
