ATR probes

AxiomAnalytical.jpgAxiom Analytical Inc. has announced the DPR-F and DMD-F series attenuated total reflectance (ATR) probes for mid-IR liquid analysis. They are fiber optic-coupled versions of the DPR conventional and DMD diamond-tipped ATR probes. They employ silver halide optical fibers to provide flexible coupling with a Fourier transform mid-IR spectrometer. Along with the direct-coupled probes, they feature high photometric accuracy, resulting from precise control of the optical ray directions and the number of reflections in the ATR element. Calibrations obtained when using them can be transferred among installations employing other company probes. They are available in two diameters. The smaller probes are compatible with a variety of laboratory reaction vessels, and the larger ones are suitable for applications where higher optical transmission is required.
