Coherent.jpgCoherent Inc.’s Chameleon Vision, a fully integrated laser source for multiphoton excitation (MPE) microscopy, delivers state-of-the-art image quality and ease of use, according to the company. It combines a wide tuning range, high group velocity dispersion (GVD) compensation, high power, pointing stability and a small footprint in a true one-box MPE light source. It can correct for the large GVD found in microscopes with highly dispersive elements. The GVD compensation is fully adjustable across the entire dynamic range. The laser is tunable from 680 to 1080 nm for optimum excitation of red fluorophores, and its >2.5-W output power enables both shallow and deep tissue imaging.
