GigOptix, Pangaea Sign Pact

GigOptix Inc. of Palo Alto, Calif., and Pangaea HK Ltd., a Hong Kong-based distributor, have announced the signing of an agreement that would extend their partnership through the formation of a joint venture company in China. The new organization will be based in Hong Kong and is intended to support customers in the region with the development of low-cost, customized reference designs for GigOptix products. GigOptix specializes in high-speed electronic devices, including polymer electro-optic modulators, modulator drivers and laser drivers, and TIAs for telecom, datacom, Infiniband and consumer optical systems.
