Diode-pumped Solid-state Lasers
Snake Creek Lasers LLC has announced new versions of its MiniGreen Series diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers with higher electrical-to-optical conversion efficiency. They have an alignment-free optical design and operate in continuous-wave mode.

The MiniGreen A Series lasers are packaged in a standard semiconductor can for integration flexibility, reliability and high tolerance to g forces. They are designed for applications requiring up to 120 mW of TEM00 output power. Models with an integrated photodetector monitor or high polarization are available.

The combination of the lasers’ small size (9 mm in diameter), near-diffraction-limited output beam and low power consumption makes them suitable for use in portable and battery-driven applications.

Output power ranges from >50 to >200 mW, M2 beam quality is 1.4 or 1.6, and noise is <1% or <2% rms, depending upon the model. Output center wavelength is 532 nm, typical polarization ratio is 4:1, warm-up time is <2 min, and operating temperature range is approximately 10 to 50 °C.
