The Navigator MC2100 series of brushed servo motion processors from Performance Motion Devices Inc. is chip-based technology designed for controlling multiple motor types. The processors come in one-, two- and four-axis configurations, and consist of a 132-pin processor and a 100-pin logic device. Users can off-load resource-intensive motion control functions from the application's host processor. The instruction set supports more than 130 commands. The MC2100 series has a preprogrammed proportional integral derivative filter with feed-forward velocity and acceleration, and a 32-bit position error.
