AppliedSpectralImaging.jpgApplied Spectral Imaging has released the TB-Finder, computer-aided technology for detecting signs of tuberculosis in tissue or sputum. Designed especially for allocating acid-fast tuberculosis mycobacteria stained by Ziehl-Nielsen, it allows users to scan frames manually or automatically, with the option of a prescan process. In its full flow, a prescan session finds the tissue regions on the slide, and then its high-magnification scan finds TB bacilli in real time. The software features gallery thumbnails that can be sorted for efficient identification of infection.
