Scientific Instruments GmbH has unveiled an optical multichannel analyzer that makes possible simultaneous analysis of UV/VIS spectra at picometer resolution. The ESA-3000 S's patented optical path allows the linear display of 200 to 780 nm on a two-CCD camera with a 16-bit dynamic signal range. Time-resolved spectral analysis can be achieved with 5-ns resolution. Control and triggering of lasers and other sources, and quantitative online analysis are software-controlled.
