The LT490-450-EDLM, manufactured by Steinmeyer Inc., is a two-axis system for laser machining and other extended travel applications that require precision positioning. The fully enclosed stage has a 450-mm stroke. The system comprises iron-core linear motors, linear guideways, a linear measuring system and E chain cable carriers. Maximum speed is 500 mm/s with acceleration of 5 m/s2. Accuracy in each direction is 1 μm with ±0.5-μm repeatability.
