Based on a blue-enhanced variant of a 512 x 512 back-illuminated EMCCD sensor, it is engineered to deliver >20% additional sensitivity to blue-wavelength photons. It offers enhanced quantum efficiency performance between 300 and 470 nm, −100 °C thermoelectric cooling, fast frame rates and a low spurious noise floor.
