TechSpec Plano-Convex Lenses

BARRINGTON, N.J., May 26, 2010 — For high-energy applications, Edmund Optics has introduced its new TechSpec laser-grade plano-convex (PCX) lenses.

These high-performance lenses have a positive focal length, making them suitable for collecting and focusing light. They can be used in a wide variety of applications with detectors, emitters, fiber optics and lasers.

The lenses provide a high damage threshold, feature precision fused silica substrates, and offer improved surface quality and reduced irregularity compared to the TechSpec UV fused silica PCX lenses.

They are supplied, uncoated, in 12-mm diameter × 18-, 25-, 36- and 50-mm focal lengths, as well as in 25-mm-diameter × 38-, 50-, 75-, 100-, 150- and 250-mm focal lengths. Custom laser line coatings between 193 and 2200 nm are offered to suit a wide variety of user applications. All sizes are in stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround.
