Discovery Semiconductors Inc. has added three models to its DSC R40X line of photoreceivers. Each photoreceiver consists of an InGaAs/InP infrared photodiode and preamplifier and has a wavelength response from 0.8 to 1.6 µm. The DSC R403 also has a postamplifier. The photoreceivers feature bandwidths from 10 to 14 GHz, and the typical gain at 1.55 µm ranges from 80 to 1000 V/W. The DSC-R401, -R402 and -R403 are suitable for phased array and analog radio frequency applications or for use as a digital receiver for data- and telecommunications.
