tSPECTROOptronic Laboratories Inc. has introduced a double monochromator-based solar spectroradiometer suitable for ground-based, time-extended remote solar and environmental measurements. The OL764, dubbed the Horizon, has a weather-resistant portable housing and automated dual internal reference sources for gain and wavelength calibration. The company says the device has a wavelength range of 250 to 800 nm, a 0.1-nm or better wavelength accuracy and near-perfect cosine response, and it can remain outdoors at all times with virtually no maintenance.
