Curable adhesives

LuminDynamics has released the LD-Ultrabond family of UV-curable adhesives. Upon exposure to ultraviolet light, the adhesives cure to form bonds to a wide variety of substrates. Applications include the assembly of disposable medical devices and optoelectronics; bonding of PVC, PC and ABS to metals; bonding of glass to glass; and coating. They also can use a combination of ultraviolet light and primer-initiated curing mechanisms where light may be obstructed. The adhesives respond to exposure of 100 mW/cm2 in the range of 365 nm. They offer good coefficients of thermal expansion and conductivity, dielectric strength, tensile strength, refractive index and clarity.
