Kinetic Systems Inc. has launched the Faraday
Cage/Darkbox for use with vibration-isolation systems. The cage uses solid, electrically
continuous aluminum walls to protect sensitive devices from electrical and magnetic
interference and to eliminate light and attenuate acoustic noise. The unit is designed
for the company’s 2200 series BenchMate vibration-free tabletop platforms.
It is 30 in. high and features a solid-brass grounding block, large folding-wing
panel doors with magnetic closures for easy access to instrumentation and entry
ports for electrical connections.
