Clark-MXR Inc., has unveiled UV TAPPS, a transient absorption pump-probe system that provides broadband femtosecond-resolution pump-probe spectroscopy for investigation of chemical and biological species. The probe covers wavelengths between 320 and 730 nm and has 100-fs temporal resolution. It comes with a UV-VIS tunable pump that matches the absorption of the molecular species under investigation. It has a detection sensitivity of 1 x 10—4 with a repetition rate optimized for kilohertz, and it can be combined with LaserFlash for probe delay times out to microseconds.
