Toptica Photonics AG has introduced the OEM laser module dfTune for applications in absorption spectroscopy, gas sensing, lidar seeding, interferometry and difference frequency mixing for tunable terahertz generation. Based on near-IR distributed-feedback diode laser technology, it provides a diffraction-limited beam profile, single-frequency emission with a linewidth of less than 5 MHz and wide continuous wavelength tuning up to 4 nm. It has an intensity stability of 0.1%/h and a lifetime in excess of 10 h. The module is available within the spectral range from 760 to 2800 nm with output power levels of up to 150 mW at selected wavelengths.
