Lissotschenko Mikrooptik (Limo) GmbH has introduced a 25-W fiber-coupled diode laser that emits a 10 x 10-mm beam with divergence of 2 x 2 mrad. The passively cooled LIMO25-C10310-DL980’s power is delivered via a fiber with a 50-μm core and a 0.22 NA. Spectral width is <10 nm FWHM, operating temperature is from 15 to 30 ºC, typical threshold current is 3 A, and typical slope efficiency is 0.5 W/A. The compact and hermetically sealed laser head measures 162 x 56 x 36 mm and has been tested for harsh mechanical and thermal conditions. Applications include pumping and microsurgery.
