The generator is paired with an amplified Ti:sapphire system with a fraction of the incoming 800-nm pulse producing the white-light continuum. It is pumped with 0.3-mJ, 100-fs pulses at a 1-kHz repetition rate and generates about 10 μJ of white-light continuum.
