Cube beamsplitter

Designed for 532- or 1064-nm Nd:YAG lasers, Tech Spec polarizing cube beamsplitters from Edmund Optics feature a precision fused silica substrate and high-energy coatings. They use multilayer dielectric beam technology to minimize reflection and absorption losses. An optical contact bonding method eliminates the need for adhesive between the prisms, improving parallelism of incoming and exiting beams and the damage threshold of the devices, which tested for 5-J/cm2 with 8-ns pulses. The beamsplitters have an extinction ratio of >500:1 and a V-coat antireflection coating that reduces energy loss.
