Applied Analytics Inc. has launched its in-line method for determining the presence of impurities in 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene, which is used in the production of rubber and polymers for electronic and optical applications, and as a scent carrier in the fragrance industry. Through photodiode array spectroscopy, the wavelength range from 190 to 800 nm can be monitored with a resolution of 1 nm to obtain the spectrum of a sample.
