Mercury Computer Systems Inc. has released the 1U Dual Cell-Based Server for high-performance computing. The server delivers 410 GFLOPS in a rack-mountable 1U server, suitable for compute-intensive embedded applications such as image processing, medical imaging and seismic processing. The server features two 3.2-GHz Cell Broadband Engine processors, two PCI Express X4 channels, two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, a 32-bit 33-MHz PCI bus interface, two optional low-profile daughtercards and 1 GB XDR DRAM.
