PI (Physik Instrumente) LP, Air Bearings and Piezo Precision MotionRequest Info

PI (Physik Instrumente) LP offers a translation/rotation stage family that delivers 50-nm minimum incremental motion. With a 62 x 60-mm footprint, the M-110 series translation stages provide linear motion of 5, 15 and 25 mm. Multiaxis systems are available and can be combined with the M-116 miniature rotary stage. A piezo scanner option provides 1-nm resolution. Operators have a choice of lead-screw or ball-screw drives, and of stepper or closed-loop DC motors. The encoder on the DC servo motor version delivers 0.007-μm resolution per count. The stages incorporate Hall effect limit and reference switches. Both PC-plug-in and stand-alone controllers are offered.
