A detector for mass spectrometry applications, the Co-Axial BiPolar Time-of-Flight detector is being offered by Burle Electro Optics Inc. The detector combines the high temporal resolution of microchannel plate-based detectors with the coaxial capabilities of flat metal anode detectors. Along with its 10-kV postacceleration, it has small-pore microchannel plates with high channel densities and a flat microchannel plate input surface. The detector offers system gains up to 107, high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range. It is available for flight tube mounting, unmounted or mounted on a Conflat flange.
