Advanced Laser Diode Systems GmbH has introduced the Pil155 DFB-SM, a multichannel picosecond laser diode system for OEM, life sciences and telecommunications applications. The system provides <50 ps pulses at 1-MHz repetition and peaks of up to 20 mW out of single-mode fibers. The multichannel output delivers up to 16 channels within the C-band, from 1527.22 to 1564.88 nm, with 0.8 nm channel spacing based on the ITU grid standard for channels from 16 to 63. The system is based on the company’s PiLas series and includes laser diodes, control electronics and FC-FC panel mounts.
