Aerotech Inc. has unveiled its BLMUC series of direct-drive brushless linear servomotors, which consist of two noncontacting parts: a moving forcer coil and U-channel rare-earth magnet track. These devices come in a 20.8-mm-wide, 52-mm-high package and have unlimited travel lengths. The latter is attributable to the company's stackable magnet track system with symmetrical mounting-hole pattern. Continuous-force ratings range from 25 N for 5.6 lb, and 74 N for 16.7 lb; peak forces range from 147 N for 33 lb to 297 N for 66.8 lb.
