The XC frame is suitable for military applications because it is approximately eight times stronger than standard frames and meets Vo ballistic tests for impact. The frame body is made using multimaterial technology that is ergonomically balanced to provide good comfort, even during long periods of use.
To allow for individual custom fit, the temples and nose rests are adjustable, and the lens has a three-position ratchet inclination. This allows the lens to wrap around, covering more of the cheek and side of the face. Alternative lenses can be quickly and easily replaced for a variety of different applications. The Rx insert for prescription lenses fits firmly within the frame to protect them from damage.
A wide range of filters is available for laser applications covering wavelengths from the UV through the visible into the infrared. The company offers lenses for low- and bright-light use, as well as nonlaser options.
