STONEHAM, Mass., Nov. 9, 2010 — Custom engineered and manufactured laser-welded assemblies that are cleaner than tungsten inert gas-welded assemblies and require no mechanical secondary operations are available from Advanced Laser Technologies.

They feature distortion-free cutting, drilling and welding, without fillers or a heat affected zone. Custom engineered and manufactured using Nd:YAG or CO2 lasers, these assemblies can be made from materials such as stainless steels, Inconel and nickel-base alloys.

Capable of welding, cutting and drilling metals up to 0.300 in., holes as small as 0.005 in. and weld depths to 0.030 in., depending upon the material, the company is NADCAP-approved (merit supplier status), GE-approved for laser cutting, drilling and airflow, and is ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004 REV. B.-certified.

The laser-w elded assemblies are priced according to complexity, material and quantity. Price quotations are provided upon request.
