Caliper Life Sciences Inc. has released software and accessory items that enable the direct co-registration of images from multiple preclinical imaging modalities, offering comprehensive insight into an animal’s molecular and anatomical structure and biology. The tool kit, comprising Living Image, a multimodality software module, and the Mouse Imaging Shuttle, provides for integration of data from the proprietary Ivis optical imaging systems with data from its Quantum FX microCT and other third-party microCT, positron emission tomography and single-photon emission computed tomography devices. A single animal can be longitudinally imaged multiple time points without being harmed.
