Optimized for machine vision applications, Edmund Optics Inc.’s TechSpec VIS-NIR compact fixed-focal-length lenses provide transmission out to 1000 nm, rendering them suitable for factory automation, inspection and qualification applications that require NIR or VIS-NIR performance. Their optical designs take into consideration the precise working distances and demanding requirements of factory automation and inspection. To perform in restrictive lighting conditions, the lenses feature large maximum apertures and a broadband antireflection coating. Their robust and rugged housing accommodates harsh manufacturing environments, and their compact size makes them suitable for use in space-restricted environments. They include a convenient locking iris and focus adjustment with recessed setscrews to prevent unintended lens adjustments. The lenses support up to 2/3-in. sensors.
