High-Power SLDs

Feb 2011
Hamamatsu Photonics UK Ltd.Request Info
Hamamatsu Photonics UK Ltd. has introduced the L11341 series superluminescent diodes (SLDs) to its existing range of high-performance diodes. The new series features a very high radiant flux of 30 mW at a peak wavelength of 1050 nm, which is long for an SLD and unique among the company’s range. In common with all SLDs, the series exhibits very low coherency, especially compared with a typical laser diode. And unlike an LED, the emission area is very small. The series is available in a range of packages, including side-out OHS and head-out OHS types. Operating current is 260 mA, emitting width is 5 μm, and spectral width is 50 nm. Applications include ophthalmology and optical coherence tomography.
