NanoSight Ltd. has introduced the NS200 nanoparticle characterization system based on its LM20 model, which applies a particle-by-particle visualization and counting method. New hardware developments have produced an easier-to-use instrument with a high-sensitivity camera built into the housing. With electronic readout of the cell test temperature and optimized locators that enable easy positioning of the measurement cell, the design meets the need for a standard operating procedure. An optional blue laser improves imaging capability, and fluorescent filters can be added when working with labeled particles. The electron-multiplying CCD camera is designed for maximum speed and sensitivity and collects 37 fps directly through a USB 2.0 interface.
