Servo2Go.com has added Galil Motion Control’s Econo series, the DMC-41x3, to its line of Ethernet-based servomotion controllers. The devices offer many improvements over earlier Econo models, including larger program memory, higher speed, analog inputs and optically isolated input/output. They can accept encoder inputs of up to 15 MHz and can close the loop in as fast as 62 μs. Offering twice as much memory for user programs and arrays, they can operate as stand-alone units or can be interfaced to a PC with Ethernet 10/100Base-T or USB. An auxiliary RS-232 port also is provided. The controllers are available in axis formats of 1 through 8, and each axis is configurable for stepper- or servomotor operation.
