True Fiber-Pigtailed Option

Cobolt AB has released a true fiber-pigtailed option for the Cobolt CW Visible 04-01 series single-longitudinal-mode lasers. In this compact and robust fiber delivery option, the single-mode/polarization-maintaining fiber is fixed inside the hermetically sealed package using proprietary HTCure technology. The result is a permanently aligned true fiber-pigtailed laser with stable output power of <3% over 8 h and a good polarization extinction ratio of >100:1. It is suitable for scientific use with standard single-mode/polarization-maintaining fiber and fixed connection/angled physical contact connectors, or for OEM use where fiber and connector types can be customized. Output powers range from 25 to 200 mW, depending upon the wavelength, and are specified out of the fiber.
