For high-speed infrared analysis, sample quantification, materials identification and quality verification, PerkinElmer Inc. has introduced the Spectrum Two Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers designed to perform rapid analytical measurements and suited to a wide range of materials and markets. The compact devices can be used for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, environmental and polymer analysis, and for teaching these methods in academic laboratories. The instruments’ low-maintenance design and operational simplicity enable their use by nonexperts and in nonlaboratory environments. Dedicated systems using the Spectrum Touch next-generation user interface have also been developed to meet the needs of application-specific quality control analysis. Incorporating user-friendly touch-screen technology, Spectrum Touch enables quick results. The instrument’s software and patented features ensure consistency and repeatability. A humidity shield protects against environmental effects.
