Vision Engineering Ltd. has introduced two software options for its Mantis Elite-Cam stereomicroscope with instant digital image capture. The microscope comprises a factory-integrated and sealed USB 2.0 digital camera, permitting simultaneous optical and digital viewing. Both software options, ViFox and ViAxos, enable images to be stored as jpg, bmp or png files, and provide 2-D measurement of features including lines, circles, areas and angles. Camera options allow brightness and contrast adjustments to be made for image enhancement. The intuitive ViFox allows the user to easily set key parameters while viewing the live image, providing fast, precise imaging of samples and components. ViAxos provides 2-D options such as feature-to-feature measurement and digital zoom so individual features can be inspected in greater detail.
