LightPath Technologies’ infrared lenses manufactured from BD-2 chalcogenide glass provide high-quality mid- and long-wavelength infrared (MWIR and LWIR) aspheres. Our molded lenses are produced in high volumes at a lower price point than diamond-turned germanium. Standard lens designs are available for thermal imaging and MWIR laser collimation applications. Custom designs are always welcome.

An infrared-transmitting material used in optical fibers for applications in the wavelength region from 2 to 11 µm.
