For optical coherence tomography (OCT) and white-light interferometry applications, NKT Photonics A/S has launched the SuperK Gauss spectral filter for use with SuperK Extreme supercontinuum lasers. It transforms the broadband output of the laser to a Gaussian output and provides ultrawide-bandwidth spectral output in two bands, with a tunable center wavelength for each. Manual shutters provide port control. For OCT, the filter delivers high-power spectral output centered at 800 and 1300 nm, through single-mode fiber using the SuperK fiber delivery system. Similar configurations are available for white-light interferometry applications. The filter enables tuning of the center wavelength of each band over 200 nm. It connects easily to the SuperK Extreme and shares the same plug-and-play platform. The wavelength split point is 1050 nm.
