Lumex has launched the MicronSensIR family of infrared detector and emitter technologies. The lead selenide and lead sulfide detectors are available in single- and multielement and array formats, and provide sensitivity of 1.5 x 1010 Jones across the 1- to 5.5-μm infrared spectrum. The MicronSensIR high-speed infrared source combines a pulsable emitter with corresponding drive electronics. The company says the device offers pulse rates 18 times faster than alternative technologies, enabling accurate measurement of even very low concentrations of gases or materials. Providing sensitivity and reliability, the MicronSensIR technology is suitable for use with medical devices such as standard and portable gas analyzers and devices for CO2, CO, methane and anesthesia measurements.
