Dontech Inc. has introduced Day Vu, a high-brightness display enhancement technology. The fully customizable product line includes LED-backlit, actively enhanced displays for readability under direct sunlight. The displays, in conjunction with proprietary optical filters, provide reliable, bright and efficient operation for marine, military and industrial applications. They offer typical luminance of 850 to 1250 nits and range in size from 4.1 to 24 in. diagonally. The company can configure them with touch screens, antireflection cover glass, transparent heaters and electromagnetic/radio-frequency interference shielding (indium tin oxide coatings or conductive grids). They can be optically bonded with the proprietary IMO process to improve impact resistance and contrast.
