Power Technology Inc. has announced that it is now offering more powerful PM industrial-grade laser modules designed for use in standard or rugged OEM environments. The 635-nm modules offer diode compatibility and are suitable for surveying, leveling, alignment, positioning and bar-code reading applications.

The modules include a precision current source that delivers up to 120 mA of drive current to n- or p-type diodes. Output power now ranges from 0.1 to 100 mW. The laser modules deliver diffraction-limited optical performance, are compact and operate on a voltage of 3.3 VDC.

For additional mounting flexibility, the company also offers SPM series modules, which have a separate head and power supply plus all of the advantages of the PM series, including a rugged build and aspheric glass optics.
