LMF-2000-SM Fiber Laser Markers

MONROVIA, Calif., Aug. 5, 2011 — In response to customer demand for fine-marking (<30 μm) and micromachining applications, Miyachi Unitek has developed a 20-W single-mode fiber laser marker. The LMF 2000-SM has a high beam quality with an M2 of <1.2.

It is suitable for scribing and cutting a wide variety of materials, including alumina, silicon, copper and aluminum foils. Featuring a compact, air-cooled, robust design, the LMF series markers feature PC, touch-screen, stand-alone or pendant operation, rotary and X-Y-Z motion options, and a variety of marking software alternatives. The LMF 2000-SM is compatible with all LMF standard configuration options in terms of optics, heads, PC and motion.

Although multimode fiber has higher light-gathering capacity than single-mode optical fiber, single-mode fibers allow only one light propagation mode, increasing focusability.

The laser markers produce fine lines and increase the mark working area. They also have an increased depth of focus for marking on curved surfaces.

The LMF fiber laser markers’ high beam quality and high peak power maximize speed and depth.
